Health & Safety Policies

Tapely is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment.

Use of Strong Fragrances

To limit the exposure to chemical sensitivities and allergies we encourage you to not wear or use strong fragrances in the studio.

Covid-19 Safety

To limit the spread of Covid-19 we ask you to refrain from booking in-person sessions if you have had any cold/flu symptoms, tested positive for Covid-19 or been in close contact with someone with cold/flu symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days. Online Zoom reader sessions are available to assist

Our prevention practices align with the BC CDC

  • Washing hands regularly for at least 20 seconds and avoid face touching

  • Using alcohol based hand sanitiser

  • Physical distancing of 2 metres where possible and limiting touching surfaces

  • Using a mask in the studio is not required, however recommended upon travelling to session. Certified respirators (e.g. N95, KN95, or CAN95) may provide better protection than other masks when worn correctly and consistently.

  • Cleaning and disinfecting equipment, props and high touch surfaces occurs between sessions

Other practices we promote

  • Staggering session times to limit transmission

  • Airing the studio between sessions

  • Respiratory etiquette by coughing/sneezing into a tissue or sleeve of a shirt

  • Interac e-Transfer and pre-payment methods are preferred over cash payments

  • Bringing a pre-filled water bottle, sides and props if necessary

  • Being audition ready with hair/makeup/wardrobe to limit washroom use

Thank you for doing your part. Collectively our efforts make a huge difference.

Acknowledgement

Tapely comes to you from the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Xwméthkwyiem (Musqueam) and SelÌ“ílÌ“witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations (Vancouver, Canada). Despite bans on using language, traditions, land displacement, and genocide, First Nations communities are still here and committed to leaving the world a better place. A small portion from each Tapely session is donated to SNIWWOC - a Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) and Songhees nations (Victoria, Canada) based organisation that provides support & advocacy for BIPOC, immigrant and refugee women. You can support them by volunteering time, donating money or following and sharing content.
